Stephanie DeFino

As Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Stephanie is responsible for oversight of the accounting, finance, and treasury functions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards at the institute. She is also a corporate officer and member of the institute’s Executive Leadership Team.

Stephanie joined MRIGlobal in 2025 from NobleReach Foundation, where she served as CFO, overseeing accounting, finance, treasury, and contracts. She also spent more than five years as the Controller and then CFO of SRI International, a nonprofit research organization. During her tenure at SRI International, Stephanie spearheaded several transformation initiatives, including the modernization of Enterprise Resource Planning systems, due diligence and post-acquisition integration activities, and played a pivotal role in the redevelopment of the institute’s
primary locations. Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years at SAIC, where she held executive roles across various financial functions.

Outside of work, Stephanie and her husband share their home with two dogs, two cats, and a beehive that keeps life lively and interesting. She enjoys traveling to beach destinations, tending to her garden, and giving back as a mentor to undergraduate students from her alma mater.
