MRIGlobal plays key role in developing new Covid/flu at-home test

A Kansas City-based research organization was a key player in bringing to market a new at-home test that – for the first time – can help people determine if they have Covid-19 or either of the two primary forms of flu.

MRIGlobal, a research organization involved in a range of projects for government and commercial clients, performed testing on the effectiveness of a test that hit the shelves for this flu season. The nasal swab kit from health care products manufacturer Healgen Scientific tests for three targets within 15 minutes: COVID-19, influenza A and influenza B infections, which often exhibit similar symptoms but require different clinical treatments.
