MRIGlobal Wins Gold in Kansas City Corporate Challenge
Second Consecutive Year as Division D Champions
(Kansas City, MO) July 13, 2012 – For the second year in a row, MRIGlobal is the Kansas City Corporate Challenge winner in Division D.
“We are so proud of our team,” said Michael Helmstetter, Ph.D., MRIGlobal President and CEO. “The same passion, tenacity, smarts, and grit the staff brings to their work, shines through on the track, in the pool, and on the basketball court. Attacking a good challenge is part of our culture.”
This is the 33rd year for Kansas City Corporate Challenge, an Olympic-type event that allows Kansas City area corporations interact with each other through a variety of sporting events.
MRIGlobal competes against corporate teams in Division D for employers with 360 to 579 employees.
“Corporate Challenge is a commitment of time and training, and it’s a great deal of fun,” said Reachel Beichley, MRIGlobal General Counsel and Corporate Challenge Team Captain. “It’s an MRIGlobal tradition. Some of us train for it all year long, so the win is that much sweeter.”
Active in Corporate Challenge for much of the past 20 years, MRIGlobal has won its division eight times.
Corporate Challenge events include running, soccer, basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, fishing, bowling, weightlifting, golf, pool, darts, racquetball, horseshoes, softball, track, tennis, table tennis, trapshooting, biking, half marathon, and tug of war.
