MRIGlobal Forms Operating Unit for Global Health and Security
Focus is on Medical Countermeasures, Drug Development and Repository Management, Biosurveillance, Diagnostics, and Food Safety
(Kansas City, MO) March 12, 2011 – MRIGlobal today announced the formation of a new operating unit, Global Health and Security, which aligns key assets, resources, and capabilities to provide customer solutions in critical, growing research areas.
Global Health and Security leverages MRIGlobal expertise, experience, and technology in the many diverse areas of life sciences, including chemistry, microbiology, virology, toxicology, molecular biology, immunology, and bioinformatics.
Global Health and Security is designed to address customer needs in:

MRIGlobal operates specialized laboratories and Centers of Excellence in Influenza Virus Research; PCR Test, Evaluation and Validation; and Clinical Molecular Diagnostics. MRIGlobal’s facilities operate under Good Laboratory Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines, and are certified under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.
Clients are government agencies; state and municipal health agencies; and the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and veterinary medicine industries.
