Benefits

Exploring a Treasure of Healthcare Benefits

MRIGlobal lunchtime health fairs are not just another stroll around the auditorium to pick up literature.

Our recent pirate-themed lunchtime event proved to be a creative way to gather information.

Armed with a treasure map, staff had the opportunity to "explore territory" of the many health benefits offered to staff and families.

The adventurous secured a bountiful booty of treasure from venders as well as sampling some healthy rations, seizing photo ops with pirates, and helping themselves to free chair massages.

Fitbit, massage packages, and gift certificates were awarded to the lucky drawing winners.

MRIGlobal is more than just a workplace, thanks in large part to our Staff Activities Committee (SAC), which hosts many events year-round for staff members and their families.

Social Activities

Favorite social activities include the Halloweenie Roast, golf tournaments, the Chili Cook-Off, picnics on the beach, holiday parties complete with a visit from Santa for your children, and baseball season opening day barbecues.

Charitable Causes
The Staff Activities Committee leads the charge in support of charitable causes at MRIGlobal. Each year, it lends a hand to MRIGlobal's flagship charity – United Way. In addition, the committee also supports the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days, and Harvesters food drives, as well as participation in charity walks, runs, and bike rides of your choice.

Sustainability
Nearly four years ago, MRIGlobal established the Sustainability Committee to lead our "green" activities. Committee members are proud to implement energy and environmentally conscious measures throughout the company. Some of their more popular projects have included recycling drives, bike/walk to work initiatives, and ongoing educational programs.

Volunteer Group
The Volunteer Group has a goal of educating staff members on service opportunities within our communities and increasing MRIGlobal's involvement in the community. Projects include support for Habitat for Humanity, food drives, and
Adopt-a-Family holiday drives.

MRIGlobal’s Honors US Veterans in #GiveThem20challeng
e

The ‘ice bucket challenge’ has become the #GiveThem20challenge!

It’s ‘game on’ as MRIGlobal’s Kansas City team gathered to answer the challenge set by KU Medical Center.

Lead by Dr. Tom Sack, MRIGlobal President and CEO, we gave 20 and answered with our own challenge to others in the community.

About the #GiveThem20Challenge

The #GiveThem20Challenge is a new push aimed not at raising funds but, instead, raising awareness for American veterans and some of the struggles they face, particularly re-entering the workforce when they return from service.

The challenge is simple: It begins with dedicating 20 push-ups or other actions—organizers encourage participants to “get creative”captured on video as a salute to veterans. Participants then challenge two friends to do the same.

The push is backed by American Corporate Partners, a nonprofit founded in 2008 to help returning veterans build their post-military careers. The organization offers a unique online community, called the ACP AdvisorNet that encourages people to volunteer 20 minutes of their time to offer career advice and serve as mentors to veterans.
