MRIGlobal Leads in Highway Design and Traffic Engineering

MRIGlobal is a leader in evaluating relationships between highway design, traffic safety, and traffic operations and translating those relationships into practical guidance and policy for implementation by highway agencies. MRIGlobal evaluates traffic operations and safety for two-lane and multilane highway improvements and assesses truck operations and safety.

MRIGlobal’s research contributes to safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions to highway design challenges. MRIGlobal’s research results have contributed to national policies and guidelines, including the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Policy on Geometric Design for Highways and Streets (commonly known as the Green Book), the AASHTO Highway Safety Manual, the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Highway Capacity Manual, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

 Clients and Partners

For more than 40 years, MRIGlobal has conducted valuable transportation research for the FHWA, the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP), state highway agencies, and industry and trade associations.

MRIGlobal works in partnership with leading academic institutions and engineering firms nationally.

 Where We Work

MRIGlobal works from its Kansas City headquarters facility, as well as from MRIGlobal corporate locations throughout the United States. MRIGlobal traffic engineers and analysts perform data modeling and statistical analysis, develop software and systems, and produce training and guidance materials.

Additionally, MRIGlobal conducts significant work at roadway sites in the field, nationally and internationally.

 Our Capabilities

MRIGlobal’s transportation engineering expertise covers highway and traffic safety; geometric design and safety relationships; safety management; traffic operations; work-zone traffic control; truck operations and safety; pedestrian and bicycle facilities; hazardous materials transportation safety; and highway policies, manuals, and guides.
