Global Energy Challenges Require Big-Picture Approaches. MRIGlobal energy experts evaluate, optimize, and innovate.

Our energy solutions are a refinement of the best options in renewable, alternative, and fossil energy and energy-efficient technologies. With ingenuity, wind, solar, geothermal, fossil, biomass, and even waste streams can power our world.

Management & Operation of Energy Research Centers

MRIGlobal has built a reputation for excellence in research expertise and facilities management with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

NREL is the only national laboratory dedicated to clean and renewable energy technologies. MRIGlobal is one of two members of the Alliance for the Sustainable Energy, which manages and operates NREL for the U.S. Department of Energy. MRIGlobal has managed the laboratory since its inception in 1977.

At the National Energy Technology Laboratory, MRIGlobal provides cost-benefit analysis for energy planning and research infrastructure support.

MRIGlobal has helped advance solar technology for more than 45 years.

MRIGlobal developed and operates the Solar Technology Acceleration Center (SolarTAC) where participating member organizations can test and validate solar technologies. Located on 74 acres near the Denver International Airport in Aurora, Colorado, SolarTAC is the largest test facility of solar technologies in the United States. SolarTAC offers members the opportunity to perform proprietary and collaborative research, development, and demonstration to accelerate solar technology.

Energy and Environment

With diverse areas of expertise, MRIGlobal tackles 21st century environmental challenges. Specific examples:  sampling of soil, air, and water; modeling of climate change; study of shale gas emissions; dust dispersion; and superior chemical and biological analytics.

MRIGlobal has extensive specialized facilities, covering monitors and sensors, mobile laboratories, environmental chambers, biosafety laboratories, and engineering test centers. Our staff supports the design, build, maintenance, and operation of our solutions.

Energy Technology

MRIGlobal’s forward-looking energy solutions include energy optimization and finding viable alternatives to conventional energy sources.

Our testing and evaluation centers navigate the obstacles renewable energy technologies encounter. MRIGlobal has the expertise to design, develop, manage, and maintain specialized energy technology test and evaluation centers to expedite renewable energy growth in the market.

Accelerating nearly market-ready renewable energy technologies from unconventional sources is our specialty. MRIGlobal is advancing the deductive Microbial-enhanced oil recovery process (dMEOR), delivering metagenomic innovations while increasing oil recovery using cost-effective and environmentally sound methods.

Energy technology companies, power project developers, electric providers, governments and investors benefit from testing and evaluation. With expertise in energy storage devices and battery systems, Microgrids and Smart Grids, MRIGlobal identifies the best approaches to maximizing the use of energy systems.
