Jose Zavala, Ph.D., Wins Travel Scholarship to Present Research at Conference.
MRIGlobal is proud to announce the winner of its travel award to attend the annual conference of the Society of Toxicology (SOT) Conference in Baltimore.
Jose Zavala, Ph.D., is performing his post doctorate research training work at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
At the conference, Dr. Zavala presented his research, "Gas-phase mutagenicity in salmonella of 12 distinct simulated smog atmospheres generated using environmental irradiation chambers."
Dr. Zavala was introduced at a special Hispanic Organization of Toxicologists event by Robert P. Casillas, Ph.D., Vice President, Strategic Global Health Security, MRIGlobal.
The travel award was presented March 14 at the Hispanic Organization Annual Reception at the conference.
The SOT 56th Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, held March 12-16, 2017, is the world's largest forum to showcase discoveries and achievements in toxicology research. More than 6,800 of the world's leading researchers and scientists and toxicologists from academia, government, and industry participate in lectures, training, and scientific sessions.
