MRIGlobal-operated biological threat agent sample analysis laboratories continued to support several U.S. Government agencies this past year, ensuring the country’s ability to rapidly recognize, respond to, and recover from a biological attack.

Especially noteworthy is MRIGlobal’s support of a laboratory for U.S. Department of Defense. MRIGlobal operates the on-site, 24/7 surveillance and monitoring environmental sample analysis laboratory, which has processed about 75,000 samples since it opened in 2002.

Even two back-to-back snowstorms in the early weeks of February 2010 that resulted in a state of emergency being declared and the closing of federal offices did not deter the MRIGlobal staff from continuous support of this effort. This initiative caught the attention of the Department of Defense, which commended MRIGlobal for “…a superb job during this time” helping ensure safety for people and facilities.
